Armenia, UN discuss issues on Armenia-UN cooperation agenda

ArmInfo. Secretary of the RA Security Council Armen Grigoryan met with Acting UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Lila Pieters Yahia.

According to the press service of the RA Security Council, during the  meeting the Secretary of the Security Council presented the agenda of  the reforms being carried out in Armenia. In particular, Grigoryan  presented the agenda for reforming the security system, democratic  institutions, as well as steps aimed at strengthening the rule of  law. In this context, Lila Pieters Yahia welcomed and highly  appreciated the continuity of the reform process.

The interlocutors exchanged views on regional security issues. A  number of issues related to the Armenia- UN cooperation agenda were  also discussed. The parties reaffirmed their mutual readiness to  fully realize the potential of cooperation.
