ArmInfo. Yerevan's minor court presided over by Manvel Shakhverdyan upheld on Monday the ruling arresting Armenia's ex-minister of defense David Tonoyan, ex-deputy chief of the General Staff, RA Armed Forces, Stepan Galstyan and the arms supplier David Galstyan (nicknamed 'patron David).
The ex-head of the aircraft equipment service, Aviation Department, RA Ministry of Defense, Avetik Muradyan was released on bail (AMD 5mln or $10,400).
Mr Torosyan's lawyers had applied for release, and Kristine Poghosyan and Vilen Gabrielyan of the Civil Contract parliamentary faction, as well as Chairman of the Republic Party Aram Sargsyan, stood bail for him.
Armenia's ex-minister of defense David Tonoyan was arrested as part of criminal investigation into abuse of office and official fraud by top-ranking officials of the RA Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces in supplying ammunition to the AR Armed Forces.
Criminal charges were also brought against other officials.
