State Minister of the Republic of Artsakh Artak Beglaryan stated this during a press conference. According to him, as of today about 16 thousand people in Artsakh rent housing or live in hotels.
"The government continues to stimulate housing construction in order to fulfill its obligations to the IDPs and citizens who belong to various social groups," Beglaryan said.
In this vein, he said that under the leadership of the State Minister of Artsakh, the Committee on Housing Issues of the Republic of Artsakh operates, which accepts applications, studies, approves or rejects them, and forms lists. In the near future, according to him, new programs will be launched in accordance with the priorities set by the President of the Republic. Artak Beglaryan also spoke about the fact that the Office of the State Minister of Artsakh approved a program, according to which the state provided financial assistance to individuals and legal entities that suffered material damage as a result of the war unleashed on September 27, 2020 against the Republic of Artsakh. As a result, assistance was provided to 1,349 beneficiaries. The approved amount under this program was 6.7 billion drams. He also said that the Artsakh Investment Fund accepted applications from 46,956 individuals, of which, as of January 1, 2022, 8,352 were satisfied. In total, the amount of assistance exceeded 10 billion drams.
