The Armenian side notified the CSTO Secretariat that the Chairman of the Collective Security Council (CSC) of the CSTO, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received an appeal from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, with a request to instruct the completion of the CSTO peacekeeping mission in Kazakhstan from January 13, 2022 of the year.
According to the CSTO press service, a draft of the relevant Decision of the Collective Security Council of the Organization was prepared in the CSTO Secretariat and sent to the heads of the CSTO member states for approval.
The procedure for the withdrawal of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces will be approved by the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers, an extraordinary meeting of which will be held on January 13 this year, via in videoconference.
