Having informed the participants of the event about the current situation in the country and the measures taken to stabilize it, Tokayev expressed gratitude to the CSTO partners for the assistance provided.
"It is fundamentally important for us not only military, but also, above all, moral support of the CSTO partners. All member states of the Organization acted as a united front, strongly supported the appeal of Kazakhstan", Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized. The President of Kazakhstan noted that the Organization will receive a useful positive experience, "narrow issues" will be analyzed and appropriate conclusions will be drawn, and adjustments will be made to the regulatory documents. "The CSTO has shown its relevance and effectiveness as an authoritative military-political organization. During the summit, the leaders of the CSTO countries exchanged views on the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed support for the actions of the leadership of our country, noted the importance of restoring stability and constitutional order. CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas reported on the progress in the implementation of the adopted joint decisions. The heads of state agreed to be in constant contact until the completion of the mission of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO in Kazakhstan. The meeting on the situation in Kazakhstan and measures to normalize it was held by videoconference under the chairmanship of the Republic of Armenia. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon and Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas attended the meeting.
