ArmInfo. The idea of raising salaries of public prosecutors, especially those investigating corruption-related crimes, must not be given up, RA Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan told reporters following the Wednesday cabinet meeting.
The bill will be introduced after the RA Prosecutor General's Office provides some information. "We are now discussing the amount and who will receive higher salaries," the minister said.
Asked about pressure on Armenia's judicial system, the minister said no unlawful actions are taking place.
"Nothing but disciplinary actions are taken against judges, which is legal. Other states' experience shows that it is the best way of battling judicial injustice," Mr Andreasyan said.
As regards the rumors that judges refuse to try the cases involving illegally acquired property, the minister said that he does not interfere nor does he comment on rumors.
Mr Andreasyan declined comments on the detention of some of the POWs repatriated from Azerbaijan.
