ArmInfo. This year has been a challenging one, but as I reflect on all that has happened, my admiration of the Armenian people and hope for Armenia remains unchanged. This is stated in the congratulatory message of U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy.
"When I arrived as the U.S. Ambassador in early 2019, I immediately knew there was something special about Armenia. Armenia's rich cultural traditions, long history, natural beauty and famous hospitality stand out.
But it is the people-Armenians- who are truly the county's greatest asset with their talent, vitality and creativity. Over the past nearly three years I have traveled across Armenia and everywhere I go, I see courage, strength, hope, resilience, and dedication to build a better future, regardless of how big challenges and difficulties may be I am proud of the partnership that the United States and Armenian people have forged over the past thirty years and the deep ties that reach even further back in time that have laid the groundwork for even closer cooperation as we look to the future.
I am proud that our support for the preservation and restoration of Armenia's cultural heritage continues with our current project at the Sanahin monastery complex- an effort that will ensure this unique site is available for future generations. I am encouraged when local business supported by USAID's assistance, expand to new markets and create jobs. I am inspired when alumni of U.S. Government educational programs return to Armenia and use their new skills and knowledge to improve their communities.
These, of course, are just a few of many examples of our partnership. There is no doubt that challenges will continue, but this is the thing about Armenia- there is fortitude, resilience and strength deeply rooted within the people of this country. The United States will continue to work together with Armenia for a better future. I whish you all a peaceful, healthy prosperous new year," the Ambassador concluded.
