ArmInfo. The Russian-Armenian University and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia signed an agreement on the use of financial assistance provided by the state in the form of grants.
According to the press service of the University, the main goal of the program is to made a universal system for the construction, control and management of small and medium-sized drones, which will allow to select the equipment necessary for a specific task, and the software will be universal in all configurations. Drones will be made up of modules. There will be several alternative physical devices for each module, depending on the problem being solved.
The Ministry of High-Tech Industry will allocate AMD 20 million to RAU for the implementation of the program announced by the Russian-Armenian University. The implementation of this program will facilitate the construction of various small and medium-sized UAVs with their basic software and functions.
The project is being implemented within the framework of two educational programs of the Russian Armenian-University: "Intelligent Systems - Robotics" and "Wireless Communication - Sensors".
14 students participate in the program, to whom the university provides a scholarship in the amount of 200,000 AMD per month.
