ArmInfo. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Chief of the Armenian Police Vahe Ghazaryan, who is on an official visit to Georgia.
According to the press service of the Georgian Prime Minister, issues of cooperation between the two countries were discussed at the meeting. In particular, they noted the fruitful cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Armenia, as well as partnership in the fight against transnational crime and other security challenges.
"During the meeting, they spoke about the successful mediation of the Prime Minister of Georgia, as a result of which 15 citizens of Armenia were released, and important maps of mined territories were handed over to Azerbaijan. The head of government expressed readiness for further active cooperation and noted that Georgia supports a dialogue that will contribute to ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
The conversation also highlighted the centuries-old history of friendly and good-neighborly relations between the two peoples and the prospects for further expanding the partnership, "the Prime Minister's press service said, Georgia-online reports.
