ArmInfo. Russian peacekeepers are now ensuring security in the construction of a new highway along the dividing line. The highway will connect the village of Khramort with Askeran, in Nagorno-Karabakh, reports the press service of the RF Ministry of Defense.
"Measures are being taken to ensure security of ballast quarrying in the village of Khramort. The work is being carried out along the dividing line, which requires the presence of Russian peacekeepers," Danil Nikitin, Spokesperson for the Russian peacekeeping troops, said.
"In cooperation with the Russian peacekeepers we start our work in the village of Khramort to renovate the highway to Askeran, which will be patrolled by the Russian peacekeepers, as the village is located on the dividing line," says Narek Hakobyan, Director of the construction company.
The highway will be used both by civilians for secure transportation and by Russian peacekeepers and patrolling the route. The work is to be completed by the end of this year. The Russian peacekeepers are ensuring the implementation of the trilateral agreement ending the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh at midnight November 10, 2020.
