The "Hayastan" opposition faction proposes today, on December 8, to hold parliamentary hearings on the topic of prisoners of war and missing persons with the participation of the Prime Minister, the head of the Ministry of Defense and Foreign Affairs, the Director of the National Security Service, as well as representatives of the relatives of prisoners of war and missing persons.
This, as secretary of the faction Artsvik Minasyan noted, is a real opportunity to answer many exciting questions. Minasyan proposed to hold the hearings today, after the government hour in parliament.
Yesterday, a video was published on the Internet, in which Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan discusses the fate of the prisoners of war. So, in the video, Simonyan, referring to the issue of prisoners of war, notes that he considers the prisoners of war as already "non-existent." According to him, many of the prisoners are deserters and the future of the country and Artsakh is much more important. Relatives of the prisoners of war and the missing persons went to the government building and blocked the roads to protest, some of them stayed at the protest overnight.
