ArmInfo.On November 29, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin took part in a scientific conference organized by the Institute of History of the RA  National Academy of Science, dedicated to the 126th anniversary of  Anastas Mikoyan.

As reported by the press service of the Russian Embassy in Armenia,  in his welcoming speech, the head of the diplomatic mission noted  that the names of many Armenian statesmen, military men, diplomats,  politicians are an integral part of the historical annals of our  common Motherland - the Soviet Union. "In this row, A. Mikoyan  occupies a special place, whose multifaceted personality and active  work have left a significant mark on history," he said.

The ambassador thanked the MCBC House of Moscow in Yerevan and the  Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of the  Republic of Armenia for holding the event, and also expressed  gratitude to the State Archives of Russia and A. Mikoyan's relatives  for the materials provided for the photo exhibition organized at the  National Academy.  The event was attended by the director of the  Institute of History Ashot Melkonyan and the grandson of A.  I.  Mikoyan, the famous Russian cultural figure and musician Stas Namin.
