ArmInfo. The Hayastan (Armenia) opposition faction plans to hold a parliamentary hearing on the demarcation and delimitation of thee border with Azerbaijan, on November 25.
According to the faction`s statement, the Armenian authorities` policy resulted in serious challenges to the Armenian nation. "The ongoing Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression caused the issue of delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border to be put on the agenda. In this context, statements by Nikol Pashinyan and individual representatives of the ruling regime are in conflict with the Armenian people`s vital interests and may turn into an uncontrollable threat to the very existence of our people," the statement reads.
The issue being an urgent one, the Hayastan faction initiates a parliamentary hearing from 11:00am to 4:00pm, November 25. The faction has also introduced a draft statement on border demarcation by the RA National Assembly, wherein Armenia`s parliament condemns the occupation of territories of the Republic of Artsakh, incursion into Armenia`s sovereign territory and Azerbaijan`s refusal to hand over the Armenian POWs, hostages and other persons being kept in Baku. The statement also calls on the Armenian government to refrain from any negotiations, written or verbal agreements in defiance of the RA Constitution and of the Armenian people`s will stated in the Declaration on Independence.
