According to the press service of the President of Belarus, the heads of state confirmed the strategic nature of bilateral cooperation; reviewed the implementation of the agreements reached during the talks between the two presidents in April in Baku; discussed the prospects for the participation of Belarusian companies in the implementation of large-scale mutually beneficial projects in Azerbaijan.
Alexander Lukashenko welcomed the fact that "a year ago, the long-term confrontation between Azerbaijan and Armenia ended.
Alexander Lukashenko stressed that the restoration of transport communications and economic interaction in the South Caucasus should become the basis for lasting peace in the region and ensure the well-being and security of all peoples living there.
The President of Belarus also expressed condolences to the families and friends of all the victims of the long-term Karabakh conflict and noted the exceptional importance of the statement adopted a year ago with the mediation of Russia, which stopped the bloodshed.
