ArmInfo. Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan spoke about the condition of citizens wounded near Shushi as a result of the fire opened by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
Recalling that the incident took place today at 15:00 during the repair work on the water pipeline near Shushi, the Ombudsman of Artsakh informed that as a result of the provocative actions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, 22-year-old E.M. died, and 41-year-old S.A., 43 -year-old D.G. and 31-year-old M. G. were taken to the medical center, where they received appropriate assistance.
"The condition of the wounded is assessed by doctors as moderate. Law enforcement agencies are carrying out appropriate work to clarify the circumstances of the incident, which is why traffic on the Shushi section of the Stepanakert-Berdzor road was stopped for a short period of time.
This incident is yet another proof of the anti-Armenian, genocidal and fascist behavior of the Azerbaijani side towards the Armenian people, which we have repeatedly stated since the signing of the trilateral statement, "Artsakh Ombudsman noted.
At the same time, Stepanyan stressed the need to end Azerbaijani arbitrariness and impunity. In his opinion, this is possible due to the introduction of clear mechanisms for investigating the criminal actions of the Azerbaijani side against the people of Artsakh, and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
