ArmInfo.Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed Acting Deputy Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee and Secretary General of the Cadastre Committee.
According to the decision of the Prime Minister of November 4, Mher Khachatryan was appointed Secretary General of the Republic's Cadastre Committee, and Edik Hakobyan, Acting DeputyChairman of the newly created Anti-Corruption Committee.
To note, Edik Hakobyan was born on January 14, 1976 in Yerevan. He received his higher education at the Faculty of Law of the Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia (now the Police Academy of the Republic of Armenia), having received the qualification of a lawyer-jurist. He began his professional career in 1992 in the Police. In 2013-2014 worked as an investigator for especially important cases, then a senior investigator for especially important cases of the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia, in 2014-2019- Deputy Head of the Department for Investigation of Corruption, Organized and Official Crimes of the RA Special Investigation Service.
From July 12, 2019, he was appointed head of the department for the investigation of torture and crimes against the person. By the order of the Head of the RA Special Investigation Service of November 28, 2014, he was awarded the extraordinary rank of Colonel of Justice. By the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia dated May 18, 2015, he was awarded the "Mkhitar Gosh" medal. He was also awarded medals, badges, certificates of the RA Special Investigation Service, the RA General Prosecutor's Office, and the RA Police.
