ArmInfo.Topical issues of bilateral relations, regional and international agendas were discussed yesterday during a telephone conversation by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Azerbaijan Sergey Lavrov and Jeyhun Bayramov.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, an exchange of views took place on the implementation of the agreements between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia dated November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021, considering the approach of the one-year mark of the adoption of the trilateral Statement on a complete ceasefire and cessation of all hostilities in the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict zone.
A " synchronization of watches " was held on the issues of easing tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, unblocking all transport and economic ties in the South Caucasus, creating a favorable atmosphere for regional cooperation. Lavrov stressed the importance of continuing efforts aimed at political and diplomatic settlement of the entire range of issues in relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The ministers noted with satisfaction the ongoing development of the multifaceted Russian-Azerbaijani strategic partnership.
To note, on November 1, Lavrov had a telephone conversation with RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
