ArmInfo. On October 27, the ruling "Civil Contract" faction nominated Artak Manukyan as a member of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.
Manukyan's candidacy was approved by the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs on September 17. " I believe that the existing professional experience and competencies give reason to think that I will be able to contribute to the further continuous improvement of the already established institute, share my experience and use the knowledge that I possess," said candidate for membership in the Central Bank Board. Manukyan noted that in case he is elected to this position, he would try to promote the development of a new strategy of the Central Bank within the framework of his powers and activities, since the latter dates back to 2018-2020. He intends to pay special attention to work on the digital agenda, improving financial literacy, etc.
It should be noted that from 2019 to 2021, Artak Manukyan held the position of Deputy Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs. During the activity of the Parliament of the 7th convocation, he authored and co-authored 21 bills, of which 17 were approved. From June 2018 to January 2019, Manukyan served as Advisor to Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
