On October 21, the Armenian government in an uncontested manner approved the proposal to sign the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica on exemption from the requirement to obtain an entry visa for holders of diplomatic, official and civil passports."
As stated in the background statement to the document, the Republic of Armenia has a visa-free regime for persons with ordinary, diplomatic and service passports with 3 countries of Central and South America, in particular, with the Argentine Republic, the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay. Agreements to waive entry visas for diplomatic and official passport holders have been concluded with the United Mexican States and Chile. At the same time, appropriate measures are being taken to conclude such agreements with other countries in the region.
It is noted that diplomatic relations between the Commonwealth of Dominica and the Republic of Armenia were established on April 5, 2019. "The signing of this Agreement will contribute to the development of relations with the Commonwealth of Dominica by increasing the number of visits of official delegations of the two countries, encouraging mutual visits of citizens, increasing tourism and raising awareness of each other. The purpose of the Agreement is to exempt citizens of the participating State with diplomatic, official and ordinary passports from the need to obtain an entry visa, "the document says. Thus, in accordance with the Agreement, citizens of the two countries who are holders of all types of valid passports that give the right to cross borders, can enter, leave, transit and stay on the territory of Dominica and the Republic of Armenia without visas for up to 90 calendar days within each period of 180 days from the date of the first entry.
