ArmInfo. Last night, the Paris City Council made an important decision, once again confirming the unbreakable friendship and strength of the Armenian-French privileged relationship.
As the Embassy of Armenia in France reports: "By the unanimous decision of the City Council, one of the vast areas in the heart of Paris, adjacent to the Seine River, was named after Armenia and received the sonorous name Esplanade d'Armenie," the Armenian Embassy in France said in a statement.
At the same time, it is noted that the area will be registered in the state register and will have a vast territory, which will include the territory of the Yerevan park as well as the Komitas monument. The Armenian Embassy expressed gratitude to the Paris City Council for this important initiative.
