ArmInfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continues to insist that in 30 years not enough investments have been made in Shushi, few houses have been built. He stated this on October 6 during the government hour, answering the question of opposition MP from "I Have Honor" Tigran Abrahamyan.
Abrahamyan quoted Nikol Pashinyan's words in Lithuania. "We talk so much about Shushi. How many residential buildings have been built in Shushi in 30 years? Why no one asks why they didn't build it, what was the logic, they didn't have money? "Meanwhile, as Abrahamyan noted, after the war there was not a single intact building or structure in Shushi. Later, apartment buildings and private houses, a branch of the Central Bank, a palace of culture, officers' houses, and a number of other institutions were built in Shushi, and finally, according to official data, about 4,000 residents lived in Shushi. "I would like to ask if Pashinyan was in Shushi before the war, and if so, did he register the buildings he described?"
"What could be seen, I naturally saw, and what I said, of course, is beyond doubt," Pashinyan replied, stressing that he had nothing to add to his statements in Lithuania.
Then Pashinyan clarified that he had spoken about the construction of residential buildings. He further noted that the list mentioned by Abrahamyan may not fit on one page. "Let's calculate how much has been invested in Shushi and how much has been invested in Baden-Baden: I have the impression that we live in parallel realities: "My statements are true," Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
