ArmInfo. Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Stepan Galstyan was invited to the National Security Service (NSS) of the Republic of Armenia on September 29. This information was confirmed by the head of the information department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Samvel Asatryan. However, he did not give any details on this issue.
Earlier, in the Armenian media, information was circulated that the apartment of former Minister of Defense of Armenia David Tonoyan was searched, and he himself was detained and charged. According to the information, searches were carried out at the former head of the aviation department Avetik Muradyan, deputy head of the General Staff Stepan Galstyan. It is also noted that this is a criminal case on the supply of weapons, which the NSS is investigating.
The NSS of Armenia has not yet commented on this information in any way. ArmInfo failed to get through to the RA NSS.
