ArmInfo.The Armenian Embassy in Georgia recommends that Armenian cargo carriers use the Bavra-Ninontsminda checkpoint instead of the Bagratashen-Sadakhlo  checkpoint due to congestion on the Tbilisi bypass road.

"We would like to inform you that due to the large volume of cargo  transportation through the territory of Georgia, as well as in  connection with the construction work at the Upper Lars checkpoint in  Russia, an accumulation of heavy trucks has arisen on the Tbilisi  bypass road.

In order to avoid congestion, cargo carriers, if possible, can carry  out cargo transportation through the Bavra-Ninotsminda border  checkpoint instead of the Bagratashen-Sadakhlo border checkpoint,  "the statement of the Armenian Embassy in Georgia says.

It should be reminded that the only land route connecting Armenia  with Russia runs through the Upper Lars checkpoint.
