Hayastan bloc announced the urgency to form a new national power to  address security issues

In particular, as stated in the statement issued by the Hayastan  bloc, the situation in the Vorotan-Shurnukh region of the Goris-Kapan  highway continues to remain tense. "Taking advantage of the  connivance and criminal inaction of the Armenian authorities,  Azerbaijan placed a police and customs checkpoints there.  Serious  problems arose in terms of operating the strategically important  Iran-Armenia interstate road. .  Citizens of the Republic of Armenia  following this road, including minors, are subjected to psychological  pressure, "the statement reads.

The authors of the statement point out that official Yerevan  considers the actions of the Azerbaijanis to be legal, referring to  the maps of Soviet Azerbaijan, considering the above-mentioned  section of the Goris- Kapan road to be Azerbaijani. "Such anti-state  behavior of the Armenian authorities makes Baku even more arrogant  and pushes Azerbaijanis to new provocations. If this continues, then  the section of the M-2 Iran- Armenia interstate road will in practice  lose its functionality, which will create serious challenges to the  security of Armenia," - they noted.

Hayastan recalled that the parliamentary faction of the bloc  initiated on September 13 a discussion of the situation in Syunik  region with the participation of the director of the National  Security Service and other officials. Meanwhile, until today, the  parliamentary majority has not organized a discussion, "in fact  giving up their own powers of parliamentary oversight and their  responsibility to be accountable to the people." "Dear compatriots,  every day of the existence of these authorities will lead to a new  crisis, new losses. Only in the case of a new national government can  security issues be resolved and a decent peace ensured," the Hayastan  bloc said in a statement.
