ArmInfo."Hayastan" bloc ("Armenia" - ed. note) did not give up street fighting and is ready to return to it, said Ishkhan Saghatelyan, deputy speaker of the National Assembly, lawmaker of "Hayastan" faction, on September 17 at a parliamentary briefing referring to the upcoming actions of the opposition political forces.
To remind, the Hayastan bloc held a meeting on September 14 under the chairmanship of the bloc's leader, the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharian. At the meeting, Kocharian gave instructions to strengthen public activity during this crucial period for the country, to draw public attention to the problems, to intensify the work of the bloc with the public, to create even more effective organizational units in order to give a new quality to the bloc's work. "The members of the bloc reaffirmed their goal - a day earlier to achieve the removal of the authorities destroying Armenia, and the implementation of the mission of the Hayastan bloc to transfer the country to a normal course of development," the bloc's statement said.
According to Saghatelyan, Armenia is going through a fateful period, there is a crisis of governance, and the statehood has faced many threats. In this regard, the faction constantly conducts discussions with both party members and supporters to determine future actions. "At this stage, we are conducting very active discussions in order to neutralize these threats and prevent the" Turkification "of Armenia.
