ArmInfo. The outgoing governor of the Ararat region, Razmik Tevonyan, on the regional administration's Facebook page commented on the talks about his resignation, in particular, that, allegedly, the reason was the planned transfer of the village of Tigranashen to Azerbaijan.
Tevonyan recalled that he had resigned. "The media, on different social platforms, put forward various versions of my resignation, one of which is that" a document was signed on the surrender of Tigranashen, which was the reason for my resignation. "I officially declare that the rumors about the transfer of Tigranashen are far-fetched, such an issue has never been discussed and will not be discussed. Please refrain from false and baseless speculation, "he wrote.
To recall, Tevonyan was appointed to the post of governor of Ararat region on December 10, 2020. The day before, information about his resignation appeared in the press; the regional administration did not name the reasons.
On the same day, some media outlets, referring to the government's decision to enlarge the communities, pointed out that the village of Tigranashen would not be included in any of the communities to be enlarged. Spokeswoman for the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia, Sona Harutyunyan, however, commenting on this information, stated that the Tigranashen village is considered part of the Paruyr Sevak community, and Tigranashen, as a settlement, is included in the enlarged Ararat community. That is, the draft law lists the communities that will be part of the united communities, and not settlements. "The village of Tigranashen is included in the package of bills on amendments and additions to the laws" On the administrative-territorial division of the Republic of Armenia "and" On local self- government "- in the list of settlements of the Ararat community of Ararat region", - said in the commentary of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures.
