The European Union excludes six states from the list of countries and territories where optional travel is allowed in the context of the coronavirus pandemic Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brunei, Japan and Serbia are excluded from the list, the European Council said in a statement. At the same time, Uruguay was added to the list of permitted states.
''Following consideration under the recommendation to gradually remove temporary restrictions on non-essential travel to the EU, the Council has updated the list of countries, special administrative regions and other entities and territorial bodies for which travel restrictions should be lifted. In particular, Uruguay was added to the list, and Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brunei, Japan and Serbia were excluded from the list, "the statement said. Optional travel from the EU is now allowed to 12 countries: in addition to Uruguay, these are Canada, Australia, Ukraine, Moldova, New Zealand, Jordan, South Korea, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Singapore.
Since mid-July of this year, Armenia has been excluded from the list of states in the red zone, and was ranked among the countries where travel was allowed against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic. Note that as of September 9, 10,040 people infected with coronavirus receive actual treatment. The increase per day was 587 citizens, while 529 people recovered, 14 died, while 2 cases were recorded when patients were diagnosed with coronavirus, but death occurred due to another disease. The total number of such cases has reached 1,169. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, a total of 246 997 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Armenia, while 230 820 people have recovered, the number of deaths reached 4 968. In total, 1 594 150 coronavirus tests were carried out in Armenia.
