ArmInfo. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a meeting with Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank Nikolay Podguzov pointed out the importance of developing cooperation between Armenia and the EDB.
In this regard, Pashinyan noted that after the early parliamentary elections, the Armenian government outlined ambitious programs and for their implementation it is important to cooperate with international structures, including the EDB. The Prime Minister of Armenia called promising cooperation in the field of road construction and infrastructure, as well as in other mutually beneficial areas. The head of the executive body also highly appreciated the support provided by the EDB to Armenia in overcoming the coronavirus epidemic and stressed the Bank's role in the integration development of the EAEU.
Nikolay Podguzov, in turn, noted that the EDB is building partnerships with Armenia and intends to further expand its activities in the republic. The Chairman of the Management Board of the EDB found it interesting joint programs to improve infrastructure, digitalization, the financial sector, as well as major integration projects within the EAEU. He also thanked Armenia for joining the "Traveling without COVID-19" program, which is a successful example of the Armenian-Russian platform cooperation (now 10 countries have joined the program), and stressed that Armenia's digital platform can serve as a basis for the development of digital technologies in the EAEU. ... The interlocutors exchanged views on specific steps that need to be taken to develop cooperation in the areas indicated by the parties, and agreed to continue an active dialogue in this direction.
