ArmInfo. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces continue to inflict damage on the residents of the border villages of Armenia.
Thus, according to the report of the Office of the Ombudsman of Armenia, Azerbaijani servicemen stole 75 heads of cattle. The incident took place on August 16 at about 10:30 am in the Gogi Ler mountain range in the village of Sers, Vayots Dzor region of Armenia.
"According to the local residents, from a distance of about 800-900 meters, they noticed three Azerbaijani servicemen emerging from the trenches and approaching the animals. "All this time, they continued to follow from afar the actions of the Azerbaijani soldiers, one of whom drove the animals, after which the three of them took them away. Azerbaijani servicemen were armed.
Citizens reported that they had contacted the regional administration of Vayots Dzor, the head of the community, the Armenian border troops, and the army corps. They visited the regional administration to record the incident and indicate that it is necessary to provide relevant certificates. According to the affected citizens, the livestock was purchased with the help of an agricultural loan, which is about 8 million drams, and they do not know how they will pay it off.
The state should initiate processes on international platforms, which, using these facts, will force the Azerbaijani authorities to compensate people for such problems.
We, of course, will contact the Government in due course in order to understand the position on the immediate solution of the problems of these people, before initiating such a process on international platforms. We are ready to cooperate on any issue, "reads the statement of the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia.
Note that this is not the first such case. The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan periodically steal small and large- scale cattle of borderland residents grazing on pastures of communities.
