ArmInfo. At the international military-technical forum Army- 2021, Russia signed contracts with a number of countries that are traditional partners of the Russian Federation, including Armenia. This was announced on August 25 by the head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugaev.
"Among the signatories are our traditional partners - Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan and, of course, India, China, Myanmar," he said on the air of the Zvezda TV channel, adding that the total amount of contracts will exceed EUR 2 billion.
"This has not happened yet, this is a breakthrough," emphasized Shugaev.
It is noteworthy that on the eve of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexei Krivoruchko said that the Ministry of Defense of Russia at the forum signed 40 contracts for the supply of more than 1.3 thousand models of weapons and equipment for 500 billion rubles. "Today, four were awarded and 41 state contracts were signed with 27 enterprises of the military-industrial complex worth more than 500 billion rubles," Krivoruchko said, adding that as a result of the implementation of these state contracts, the Armed Forces (AF) of Russia will replenish more than 1.3 thousand of new types of equipment, will repair and modernize over 150 units of weapons, military and special equipment. The Army-2021 Forum opened on August 23 in the Patriot Park in Kubinka, Moscow Region, and will run until August 28. The forum will present about 28 thousand exhibits from 1.4 thousand enterprises from Russia and abroad. In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will show more than 300 production models of equipment. In parallel with the forum, the VII International Army Games are being held this year, in which servicemen of 44 armies of the world participate.
