
ArmInfo. From August 23, the Yerevan-Yeraskh-Yerevan suburban route will be served by one of the four electric trains of the new type EP2D of the South Caucasian Railway Company.
According to the SCR, it will replace the old ER-2 electric train. The company's management promised to introduce a modern electric train on this route in early August, during the presentation ceremony of the new rolling stock. At the same time, the schedule of movement of the electric train has not changed: from Yerevan the electric train departs at 7:00pm, and from Yeraskh - at 6:30am on a daily terms. Within the framework of the approved "Tariff Policy" of the SCR, the cost of travel has slightly increased. The price of a ticket from Yerevan to Zod station increased to 350 drams (instead of the previous 300), and to Surenavan, Armash and Yeraskh stations - to 700 drams (previously - 600).

The South Caucasian Railway CJSC is a 100% subsidiary of the Russian Railways OJSC and carries out concession management of the Armenian railways. The railway infrastructure of Armenia was transferred to the concession management of the SCR CJSC in accordance with the Concession Agreement signed on February 13, 2008. The term of the concession management is 30 years with the right to prolong it for another 10 years.
