ArmInfo.The seismological service of Armenia has registered an earthquake in the Shirak region, the press service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. According to the information, on August 7 at 08:28am local time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 took place. The source of the earthquake lay at a depth of 10 km, the strength of the tremors at the epicenter was 4-5 points.
The earthquake was felt in the villages of Bavra, Zuigakhbyur, Shirak region, with a force of 3 points and in the city of Tashir, Lori region, with a force of 2-3 points.
To note, this is the second earthquake in a day - the day before, at 4:49pm local time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 occurred 14 kilometers northeast of the village of Bavra, the strength of the tremors at the epicenter was 3-4 points. The earthquake was felt in the villages of Norashen and Sarchapet of the Lori region of Armenia with a magnitude of 2.
