ArmInfo. Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia (SRC) Eduard Hovhannisyan has been relieved of his post. Former Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan took his place.
The relevant decisions were taken by the RA government among the "issues for written voting" on August 4. To remind, Eduard Hovhannisyan was appointed chairman of the Armenian State Revenue Committee on June 5, 2020, after the head of the department, David Ananyan, announced that he had submitted his resignation. Earlier, Hovhannisyan held the post of deputy chairman.
Rustam Badasyan, before heading the Ministry of Justice, since May 22, 2018, held the post of deputy chairman of the SRC. He was appointed Minister of Justice on June 19, 2019 by the decree of the President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian. This post has remained vacant since June 12, when Artak Zeynalyan, who submitted his resignation, was dismissed from the post of Minister of Justice by a presidential decree.
Rustam Badasyan was born on January 27, 1991 in Yerevan. In 2011, Badasyan graduated from the Law Faculty of Yerevan State University with a bachelor's degree. In 2013 he graduated from the Law Faculty of the International Scientific and Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia with a master's degree. In 2015, he graduated from the RA Law School and received a license to practice law.
