ArmInfo.At this stage of the situation in relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the complete, final lifting of a blockade of Armenia, in my opinion, seems  impossible.  Alexander Skakov, coordinator of a working group of the  Central Asia and Caucasus Studies Center of the Institute of Oriental  Studies of Russian Academy of Sciences expressed a similar opinion to  ArmInfo. 

"I think that all interested parties, including Yerevan, understand  this. Perhaps it will be possible to arrange cargo transportation, I  do not see any other options. In general, Armenia has a lot of  problems today. In particular, the geopolitical situation around the  country looks very difficult. It is also important to emphasize that  in the context of the discussion of issues related to the lifting of  a blockade, security is equally important," he stressed. According to  Skakov, Yerevan is trying to take steps towards the restoration of  the work of the OSCE Minsk Group. However, despite the haste in this  matter, Armenian efforts in this direction do not receive sufficient  support from the international community, which, among other things,  is due to the difficult geopolitical situation around Armenia.

According to the expert, Baku, in turn, at this stage has focused its  efforts on reaching a peace agreement with Yerevan, as it imagines  it. And it is through the conclusion of this agreement that  Azerbaijan, according to Skakov, will try to resolve all its  problems. Including the problem of establishing communications with  Turkey. And today it is trying to squeeze the maximum out of his own  superiority, achieved as a result of last year's war.  "In general, ,  during the last meeting with Prime Minister Pashinyan the essence of  the current situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan and its possible  prospects was practically reflected in one phrase of Russian  President Putin. In the context of resolving acute, painful issues,  he emphasized the importance of Pashinyan's obtaining a vote of  confidence in the early elections. In my opinion, this phrase  reflects a whole system of interrelated problems between Armenia and  Azerbaijan, "the expert emphasized.
