ArmInfo. On July 29, the Baku Grave Crimes Court sentenced 13 Armenian citizens to six years in prison on charges of forming an armed group, terrorism, and illegal crossing of the Azerbaijani border near the village of Hadrut.
According to Trend, 13 members of the "Armenian sabotage group": Astanyan Yeghish , Aramyan Karen, Avagyan Tigran, Gevorgyan Grigor, Manukyan Hovsep, Martirosyan Gevorg, Gevorkyan Robert, Manukyan Andranik, Saghateryan Grigor and Giragusyan Eduard were sentenced to imprisonment for a period of six years. After serving their sentence, they will be deported from Azerbaijan. It is noted that "members of the Armenian armed formations, after the announcement of a ceasefire agreed upon by a trilateral statement signed by Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia on November 10, 2020, illegally and secretly penetrating into Azerbaijani territory, committed terrorist, subversive and other criminal acts against military personnel and civilians of Azerbaijan."
To recall, today, before the start of the government meeting, acting Prime Ministerof Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated that the actions of Baku, among other things, are aimed at discrediting the Trilateral statements. In particular, contrary to paragraph 8 of the Tripartite Statement of November 9, 2020, trials of Armenian prisoners of war, hostages and other detainees on trumped-up charges continue in Azerbaijan, as a result of which they are sentenced to long years of imprisonment. "It is worthy of special attention that almost all those convicted in the recent period were taken prisoner after November 9, in the zone of responsibility of the peacekeepers (of the Russian peacekeeping contingent - Ed. note). If we compare this fact with the large-scale campaign waged in Azerbaijan against Russian peacekeepers and the fact that Baku has not yet signed the mandate of peacekeepers, it becomes obvious that this is directed against the peacekeepers, that is, the establishment of stability and peace in Nagorno- Karabakh, "he said.
