ArmInfo. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of United Kingdom urges its citizens not to approach the eastern border of Armenia and Azerbaijan closer than 5 km. The Foreign Ministry made a corresponding recommendation on July 29.
The Foreign Office also does not recommend its citizens to travel on the M16 / H26 highway between the cities of Ijevan and Noyemberyan. And beside that, the FCDO recommends avoiding from any travel to the other parts of Armenia unless necessary, based on the current COVID-19 risk assessment.
The UK Foreign Office on its website reminds of the 2020 clashes in Nagorno-Karabakh. It also mentions protests in downtown Yerevan and other major cities. "Over the past 12 months, there have been many military clashes at the border, as a result of which several people were killed and injured," the recommendation says.
