According to the President, the enormous difficulties of the war can  be described in one word - crisis. "This is a crisis because we have  lost thousands of young lives, many young people have lost their  health. There is a moral and psychological crisis, because it is  psychologically difficult to lose the war, especially for a country  that won the war 26 years ago, "he said.

The President noted that defeat should be a lesson for everyone, from  the President of the Republic, the government, the National Assembly  to ordinary citizens. "Another conclusion is that any state  ultimately builds its future on its own advantages. And our main  resource is people. We have an advantage here because we have a  Diaspora." A large number of Armenians live in Russia, the United  States, France and all over the world. "This is a huge advantage,"  President Sarkissian said.  "We have compatriots who study, receive  education, develop, gain experience. Then all this can work for the  good of Armenia, but we are creating obstacles. After all, the 21st  century will not be the century of natural resources. "The largest  companies in the world are no longer oil companies, they are  technological companies," Sarkissian stressed, noting that building a  strong Armenia should be based on the use of the main resource - the  human one.

In this regard, speaking about the possibility of using the potential  of the Diaspora for the development of the country, the President  called constitutional changes one of the main ways. "We must do  everything so that any Armenian, no matter where he lives, has the  opportunity to voluntarily serve the Motherland, because there should  be no barriers," the President said, stressing that the future lies  not with ordinary programming, but with artificial intelligence, not  with conventional biology, but biotechnology.  The President noted  that one of the goals of his visit to Japan is to meet with the  world's leading technology companies. "Armenia and Japan can work  together, especially in the field of high technologies. I hope that  Japanese companies will participate in the technological development  of Armenia>.  Speaking about his vision of a developed country,  Sarkissian noted: "Like any other state, we have only one way to  achieve success - to build a really strong state in the heart and  mind of each of us. A strong state also means a state that can  achieve great success with few resources, that is, disciplined,  knowing where it is going. And since Armenia is a small country, this  vision cannot be ordinary, it needs to be turned into a mission. When  you are small, you must be able to combine all your forces so that  the force of the blow is great. A small state can do it. There are  many such examples in the world>.
