ArmInfo.The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia reports on the detection of corruption crimes in the Shirak region. As reported by the press service of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, the employees of the Shirak regional department revealed cases of large-scale embezzlement in the amount of about 41,800,000 drams from the "Artik N 1 Basic School " SNCO and " Sambo and Judo School of Gyumri Municipality Community NPO.
In particular, the director of the secondary school, having reached a preliminary agreement with the school accountant, with the aim of embezzling a large amount of money, in 2012-2019 ordered the recruitment of 9 employees and paid them a salary, in conditions of non-attendance, non-fulfillment of work duties. The total amount was 23,800,000 AMD. In the " Sambo and Judo School of Gyumri Municipality Community NPO, in 2001-2019, by prior agreement with the accountant of the same organization, 10 people were hired, after which, in conditions of non-attendance, non-fulfillment of work duties, they were paid an amount of 18,000,000 drams. In connection with these cases, the Investigative Department of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia initiated criminal cases on the grounds of crimes provided for by Part 1 of Article 314 of the RA Criminal Code, paragraph 1 of Part 3 of Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code. "Active criminal procedural and operational-search measures are being taken to fully disclose the corruption mechanism in these organizations, to compensate for the damage caused to the state and society," the national security body said.
