So, according to the message of the Investigative Committee of the  Republic of Armenia, on July 18, at 7:30pm local time, IC has  received an alarm of shots fired at Amiryan street 18.

"On the same day, a report was received from "Armenia" Medical Center  that a US citizen, born in 1979, had applied for medical assistance  with a gunshot wound to the leg.

As a result of the investigative measures carried out, it turned out  that the abovementioned citizen was wounded during the incident on  the Amiryan street 18, "the RA Investigative Committee reported,  adding that a criminal case was initiated on the basis of Part 4 of  Article 258 of the RA Criminal Code and Part 1 of Article 235 of the  RA Criminal Code.

According to the ministry, at 7:30pm a fight broke out between  unknown persons on the. Amiryan street 18, during which one of the  incident participants was wounded in the leg. Three 9 mm casings were  found at the scene of the incident. The RA IC also assured that all  measures are being taken to clarify all the participants in the  incident and the reasons for the fight.

It should also be noted that despite the fact that the Investigative  Committee assures that the identity of the reported in the media  since the evening. According to information circulated in the media  and social networks, the shooter is the son of a well-known  businessman, a candidate for MP to the parliament of the new  convocation from the ruling force Khachatur Sukiasyan (popularly  known under the nickname Grzo, Ed. note). It is also reported that  friends of the shooter immediately after the incident tried to  extract and remove video frames from all cameras in this area.
