ArmInfo. The Yerevan foil-rolling plant ARMENAL marked its professional holiday - the Day of Metallurgist with stable work and steady growth of the main technical and economic indicators.
As noted in the message of the company, as part of RUSAL, the enterprise produced 420 thousand tons of products, and ended 2020 with an unprecedented production volume of 35.5 thousand tons of aluminum foil.
"The achieved level has demonstrated that our potential is not yet fully realized. Nothing will stop the team from overcoming difficulties and finding new ways of development. Professional skills, personal dedication, determination and team spirit are the qualities, that make us stronger today," General Director of RUSAL ARMENAL CJSC Arthur Zakaryan said.
In honor of the Metallurgist Day, a large group of workers of the plant were awarded industry and departmental awards.
For the contribution to the development of the plant, silver medals of the Republican Trade Union of Metallurgists and Miners were awarded to Technical Director Armen Kamalyan, lehr operatorof non-ferrous metals Hovhannes Khoyetsyan and electrician Petros Hambardzumyan.
Certificates of honor from RUSAL were presented to shift supervisor Levon Mardyan, master Taron Grigoryan and rewinder Samvel Ayvazyan, and from Rusal's Downstream division - to manager Arman Afrikyan, foreman Shoghakat Movsesyan and electrician Gevork Vardanyan.
More than ten foil distributors were awarded certificates and gratitude from the management of ARMENAL and the Republican Trade Union of Metallurgists and Miners ARMENAL.
In connection with the Day of Metallurgist, the results of the Improvement of the Year competition were summed up in five nominations. Its winners received certificates and monetary awards.
To note, the ARMENAL plant has been part of RUSAL since 2000. It is one of the largest industrial enterprises in Armenia and the only producer of aluminum foil in the Caucasus and Central Asia. Created on the basis of the Kanaker aluminum plant, which was commissioned in 1950.
