Pashinyan met with Gagik Tsarukyan and Mher Terteryan within the  framework of political consultations

ArmInfo.Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, within the framework of consultations with a number of political forces, held separate  meetings with leader of the Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan  and  leader of the United Motherland party Mher Terteryan.

At the meeting with Tsarukyan, Pashinyan expressed confidence that as  a result of the parliamentary elections, the internal political  crisis in the country was overcome, according to the press service of  the RA government. At the same time, he believes that in order to  solve the problems facing the country, it is necessary to take all  possible measures to unite the best national, public potential in  solving these problems, to unite the forces of cooperation, to find  the right formats.

"Of course, the Prosperous Armenia Party has played a very tangible  role in the political life of the Republic of Armenia for many years.  As a result of these elections, the PAP did not overcome the  threshold required to enter parliament, but I think that the party  remains an influential force in the internal political life of  Armenia. Of course, in recent months we had difficult events, but we  had the opportunity to meet last year to briefly discuss all this, ''  Pashinyan said, suggesting Tsarukyan to share his vision of how he  sees the format of interaction between extra-parliamentary forces,  and in particular the PAP and the RA government.

In turn, Tsarukyan noted that the PAP has repeatedly shared its views  on the way out of the current situation. "We have repeatedly  presented an approach to how to get out of this situation. Regardless  of whether we are in parliament or not, this does not mean that we  are not on the side of our people., "said the head of the PAP. 

At a meeting with Terteryan, Pashinyan noted that international  observers called the elections in line with the standards of  democracy, and the citizen of the Republic of Armenia expressed his  will.

"We perceive this situation as an opportunity to unite our social and  national potential, to solve the problems facing our state. In this  context, we attach importance to the activities of both political  forces that entered parliament and the participation and involvement  of extra-parliamentary forces that did not receive seats in  parliament. The purpose of these political discussions and  consultations is to hear the opinion of political forces, including  your position, on the future development of political life in  Armenia, "the head of government said.

In turn, Terteryan noted that during this electoral period, their  party set a goal to be able to present to the public, our nation our  capabilities and vision of the future.

"We consider our task completed, since we have put forward new theses  and directions, separately emphasizing the importance of army  development and in this context, the military industry as a sector.  We talked about how we see the future in terms of economic  development, programs aimed at agriculture and paid special attention  to the organization of correct and effective work with the Diaspora.

I welcome your initiative to consolidate political forces after the  elections. This will also have a very positive effect ,as the concept  of cohesion among our people will be further strengthened. This is a  very positive initiative, of course, I agree with you that in terms  of applying the method of work, the approach, we must do a very  correct and delicate work for consolidation to take place. I  personally proved with my work since 2017 that, regardless of my  political views, I am ready to take the side of our government, our  state power, to support with my knowledge. I hope that today we will  have the opportunity to discuss these works separately, "he summed  up.
