During his speech, Avinyan also noted that all important topics that significantly affect the architecture of the region's economy cannot be implemented without strong democracies, stability and peace. "To this end, the international community and institutions, including the EBRD, must condemn more forcefully those violations that pose humanitarian threats and threaten stability in the region," he said. According to the report, within the framework of the annual meeting of the EBRD, special investment outlook sessions are traditionally held, where countries present their investment opportunities. The event is a good opportunity for the business community to establish new relationships with the executives of financial and corporate companies, high-level government officials and more than 2,000 representatives of other fields. During the event, a high-level dialogue is conducted on topical topics, and decisions are made regarding the Bank's development strategy. To remind, EBRD is the leading institutional investor in Armenia and is actively working in all fields of the economy. Having started its activities in Armenia in 1992, as of early June 2020, the bank invested 1.36 billion euros in Armenia in 178 projects in the financial, corporate, infrastructure and energy sectors, with 90% of investments made in the private sector.
