ArmInfo. In Armenia, the environment of fear associated with vaccination of citizens is declining due to the fact that not a single case of complications after vaccination has been registered in the country. This was stated during a meeting in the government of the Republic of Armenia by acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
In particular, he said that today 80 thousand citizens have been vaccinated in the country, calling this figure low. In this regard, the acting head of government stressed the need for large-scale work to stimulate the vaccination of citizens.
Speaking about the situation in the country related to the pandemic, Pashinyan defined it as manageable. However, he stressed that today it is necessary to focus on further actions in the fight against coronavirus in order to avoid the situation that took place in July 2020, December 2020 and January 2021.
"Today the whole world has come to the conclusion, which we also came to in May 2020, that it is necessary to learn how to live in a pandemic. If, for example, the situation with coronavirus continues for another three years, countries cannot apply restrictions for so long, "he said. In this context, Pashinyan appealed to members of the government, urging the latter to strictly observe the sanitary and epidemiological rules.
"We must follow all the rules so that the public understands that the problem with the coronavirus has not been resolved and that we must not lose our vigilance today," he concluded.
To note, a total of 225,095 cases of coronavirus infection (18.9%) were registered in the country, 216,778 people (96.3%) recovered, 4,514 (2%) died.
