ArmInfo. According to the agreement on cooperation in the military sector concluded between Azerbaijan and Turkey, joint tactical "Mustafa Kemal Ataturk-2021" exercises with live firing began in Baku on June 28.
As Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan told APA, the main goal of the exercises with the participation of Azerbaijani and Turkish servicemen is to improve the interaction of the army units of the two countries during military operations, to develop the skills of military decision-making and unit management in commanders.
The exercises, which will last until June 30, involve up to 600 personnel, up to 40 tanks and other armored vehicles, up to 20 artillery mounts and mortars of various calibers, 7 combat and transport helicopters, 3 unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes, up to 50 vehicles.
