ArmInfo.Converse Bank and the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of education and protection of cultural monuments. This was reported by the press service of the RA MoESCS.
The matter concerns promoting the expansion of educational opportunities for children living in remote border areas, the protection of cultural monuments, and the involvement of young people in environmental protection activities. Secondary public schools in 4-5 communities will receive computer equipment, and, if necessary, will also be provided with access to the Internet.
Deputy Minister Artur Martirosyan and Business Development Director of Converse Bank Artur Nahapetyan, signing the memorandum, also stressed the importance of environmental preservation, development of environmental education, involvement of regional youth in the protection of monuments. A. Martirosyan, thanking Converse Bank for corporate social responsibility and innovative initiatives, noted: "The implementation of various programs aimed at protecting the environment and cultural values is fully consistent with the priorities of state policy."
Artur Nahapetyan, Business Development Director of Converse Bank, emphasized: "Promoting the development of ecology and education, including eco-education, is always in the focus of Converse Bank. We have experience in implementing successful projects in this area within the framework of cooperation with various public and state bodies, as bilateral or trilateral private sector-public-state cooperation opens up new horizons, broader and more comprehensive opportunities. We are confident that cooperation with the Ministry of Education will be effective and lasting. Together, we will achieve long-term and meaningful success. "
The memorandum provides for a number of joint activities aimed at environmental education of regional youth, preservation of cultural monuments, and knowledge of the historical and cultural values of Armenia.
Events on non-formal education and career guidance, meetings with people who have made a great contribution to the field of culture, sports and science will be organized.
Every year in 4-5 regions, in the territories adjacent to monuments, churches or other public places, work will be carried out to clean up and create green areas. University students will also take part in these works.
Mutual cognitive interregional visits will be organized, and tuition fees of three active participants for the first year of university and secondary vocational education will be partially compensated. State secondary schools of border communities (pupils of grades 9-12), selected by the bank on a competitive basis and approved by the Ministry, will be involved in these activities.
The financing of the activities stipulated by the memorandum is fully undertaken by the bank. At the same time, the parties expressed their readiness for cooperation in other areas of mutual interest
