ArmInfo. On June 23, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held political consultations with chairman of the "Sovereign Armenia" party (gained 0.28% of the vote - 3,561 people) David Sanasaryan and candidate for prime minister from the Democratic Party of Armenia Tigran Arzakantsyan, whose registration was canceled by the CEC during the election campaign.
As the press service of the government reports, during the meeting with Sanasaryan, Pashinyan expressed a desire to hear the opinion of the interlocutor on the further course of political life and possible prospects for cooperation
Sanasaryan noted that members of the party, founded just a month ago, have repeatedly criticized the acting Prime Minister on various issues, including due to the fact that Pashinyan did not fulfill many of the promises made to the people. In particular, as the leader of the party explained, this concerns both the return of the plundered from the people and the criminal prosecution of many representatives of the previous government. "There are problems, there are opposition forces with whom we do not represent our cooperation, but there are issues around which we must gather, since this is our state, and no one else will solve these problems for us," he said.
At a meeting with Tigran Arzakantsyan, Pashinyan expressed regret that the CEC annulled his candidacy. "I hope you are convinced that this is due to the intricacies of the legislation of Armenia and the decision was made by the CEC," the acting premiere said. He wished to hear the opinion of the interlocutor on how to build a trusting dialogue between the government and extra-parliamentary forces.
Arzakantsyan, in turn, wished to discuss with the government issues related to Artsakh, the education system, and the economy. According to him, as a patriot of his country, he is ready to continue negotiations with the current government.
On June 20, early parliamentary elections were held in Armenia, as a result of which three parties entered the new convocation of the National Assembly of Armenia: "Civil Contract" party, "Hayastan" ("Armenia") bloc and "I have honor" bloc.
