ArmInfo.Premier candidate from the "I Have Honor" bloc, chairman of the Motherland party and former head of the National Security Service of Armenia Artur Vanetsyan in the speech of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not hear the note of reconciliation. "I heard a stream of threats, in a more beautiful design," he said at a June 23 press conference.
According to Vanetsyan, if Pashinyan is really inclined to dialogue with the opposition political forces, then this should be shown not in words, but in actions. "Our attitude towards Nikol Pashinyan will be mirrored - if we see changes in his behavior - he becomes a statesman, then we will reconsider our logic," he said. At the same time, according to the leader of the bloc, this does not mean that "I Have the Honor" will be at enmity with the current government, since it believes that "one must not look for enemies inside the country."
Referring to Pashinyan's threats that the mechanism of confiscation of illegally acquired property has been launched and invited all those who illegally enriched themselves at the expense of the state to start negotiations for the return of the plundered, Artur Vanetsyan said that these words should worry those who illegally enriched themselves. "I do not have illegally acquired property and I am not rich enough to return anything," said the former head of the National Security Service of Armenia. When asked whether "I Have Honor" to cooperate with Robert Kocharian's Hayastan bloc and the current government, Vanetsyan said that they did not communicate with Kocharian after the elections, and they were not ready to cooperate with Pashinyan.
Recall that the acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, whose "Civil Contract" party won a convincing victory in the early parliamentary elections, held a meeting with its supporters on Republic Square on the day after the elections on June 21. Pashinyan, during his speech, invited all political forces to start acting from a new simple point, to abandon the vocabulary of foul language. He also said that he will start conducting with all political forces that are ready to conduct a dialogue for the future of Armenia. On June 22, at a press conference, the second president of Armenia, leader of the Hayastan bloc ("Armenia" - ed. note) Robert Kocharian stated that he did not see the hand of reconciliation extended by Pashinyan. "This government lied so much that it cannot be trusted," he said, adding that Pashinyan says one thing, immediately after him, the members of his team - another. Such words, according to Kocharian, are aimed at the outside world.
