ArmInfo. Acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held political consultations with a member of the executive body of the Citizen's Decision Social Democratic Party, which won 0.3% of the vote (3,773 people) in the early elections, Suren Sahakyan and MP Arman Babajanyan.
According to the press service of the government, Pashinyan asked Sahakyan to share his thoughts on the further course of political processes, and how he sees cooperation with the government and extra- parliamentary forces.
Sahakyan stated that over the past two years, they have not listened to the voice of the extra-parliamentary forces. As for the elections, according to a member of the party, they showed how uncompetitive the political field of Armenia is and is divorced from reality.
The interlocutors also discussed issues related to the consolidation of potential and further cooperation. During a meeting with a member of the parliament of the 7th convocation, a member of the Alliance of Democrats Shirinyan-Babajanyan, who won 1.5% of the votes (19,145 people) in the NA elections, Arman Babajanyan, assured Pashinyan that he had sufficient experience and knowledge, will and determination to complete the democratic processes in Armenia, making the process irreversible. "Any encroachment on the power of the people must be adequately rebuffed," he said.
Babajanyan noted that Pashinyan's victory in the elections is an indisputable fact. In this context, he expressed his readiness to assist the acting prime minister in his endeavors. "In this sense, we are ready to talk in any format," he said.
