ArmInfo. "I Have the Honor!" bloc made a statement in connection with the preliminary results of the early parliamentary elections in Armenia. Thus, the Bloc's statement states that a new turning point for the country has ended. "Alas, as we predicted, these elections did not become elections to ensure the security of Armenia, Artsakh, restore the state's sovereignty and lost dignity. These results, unfortunately, are not light at the end of the tunnel, but a new thickening of darkness.
The elections did not become a political process, they did not become a roadmap to keep Armenia from the abyss. Instead, we have witnessed illegal reprisals against the opposition by law enforcement agencies, unjustified searches in the apartments and headquarters of opposition activists and their detention, unjustified wiretapping of activists and members of the headquarters, "the Bloc said in a statement. The bloc stated that during the pre-election period and on the day of voting, there were numerous egregious cases of obstruction of the work of the opposition, as well as cases of open direction of voters by the authorities using administrative levers.
"These shameful elections did not solve the problems of our people, but, on the contrary, create new, more difficult obstacles for a safe, stable and worthy future of Armenia and Artsakh. The capitulating authorities will continue to prevail by the interests of others to the detriment of our national ones. We declare that we do not recognize the results obtained as the legitimization of the territorial and human losses of the last Artsakh war, as the consolidation of Armenia's status as a penny, in geopolitical trade, as a national defeat of a false immoral reality.
At the same time, we are convinced that the real opposition field must admit its mistakes and omissions. It was a mistake to go to the polls in a post-war shocked and in crisis country, but it was an even bigger mistake to place the burden of failure on society.
The fight will continue. We have no right to leave the sacred land of our ancestors and the precious future of our children on this land to nationalists who have lost the sovereignty of our state and have misled the people. Our further decisions and steps will follow this logic.
At the same time, we thank all our esteemed compatriots who voted for our Bloc, "the Bloc said in a statement.
It should be noted that according to the preliminary data released by the RA CEC, Nikol Pashinyan's "Civil Contract" party (53.9%) won the early parliamentary elections, followed by Robert Kocharian's "Armenia" bloc (21%). The bloc "I Have the Honor!" has alos passed to parliament (5.2%).
The Prosperous Armenia Party took the 4th place, which received 3.9% of the votes. The rest of the political forces together collected only 15.7%. The Civil Contract party led by Nikol Pashinyan won in all regions of Armenia, including Syunik and Yerevan.
