ArmInfo. Armenia and Lithuania outlined specific directions and actions in the framework of further cooperation in the field of road, rail and air transport. This became known after the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia Inga Stanyte-Tolockiene and Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Armen Simonyan.
Welcoming the guests, the Deputy Minister thanked the Lithuanian side for the expert support provided to Armenia within the framework of the "Safe Transport System in Armenia" program implemented in 2020. At the same time, he expressed confidence that the continuation of the program will contribute to the further development of the country's transport sector.
In turn, the Ambassador stressed Lithuania's readiness to support Armenia's efforts to implement the provisions of the Agreement on a Comprehensive Enhanced Partnership between the EU and Armenia in the field of transport. During the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a visit of branch specialists of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia to Lithuania to get acquainted with the Lithuanian experience in the field of transport sector regulation.
